Group Hamtramck, MI Hamtramck, MI Full-time Contract Full-time Contract $23 - $24 an hour $23 - $24 an hour Long term, open-ended contract with a tier one automotive supplier in Hamtramck, working with self-driving vehicles, 1st shift Responsibility for in-line manufacturing work and off-line manufacturing work.
Follow pre-defined procedure for flashing vehicle modules and running test.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Participate in manufacturing line process Perform rework in offline vehicles Participate in EOL Testing and rework for EOL stations Support and participate data collection activities Support quality team in rework and other defined technical jobs Support problem solving activities, as required.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned Support during containment activities at production and/or customer plant as needed.
Open to learn new technologies Follow safe work procedures established by the Company; and follow the OH&S directions of the head of your department or supervisor.
Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
Where PPE is required to control exposure to hazards in the workplace, wear and maintain the PPE as directed, as indicated in a risk assessment, or as required in OH&S procedures Use other safety and emergency equipment provided in the workplace as directed or as required in OH&S procedures.
Assist with the preparation of risk assessments.
Before commencing work or research, a risk assessment should be conducted to identify, assess and control the hazards associated with the work or research.
This should be conducted in conjunction with other relevant staff, researchers and the supervisor.
Report OH&S problems.
Report workplace hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible after they occur.
Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities using the incident/injury reporting system as soon as possible after the incident.
Ensure employees receive adequate H&S training.
Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Complete monthly H&S inspections.
Ensure the H&S policies are implemented and enforced.
Strive for 100% compliance in all EHS laws and regulations.
Complete quarterly H&S inspections.
Education / Experience 2 years' or more experience in an automotive production environment as technician, preferred.
High School Diploma or College Degree, preferred.
Experience working in a team environment is highly desired.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Professional Communication skills (written and verbal) Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
